In U.S. colleges and universites, 1,624,838 students are 18 years old or younger(10.15%), 3,738,910 students are 18 or 19 years old (23.35%), 3,266,841 students are between 20 and 22 years old (20.40%), 2,345,531 students are between 22 and 24 years old (14.65%), and 1,894,468 students are between 25 and 29 years old (11.83%).

1,807,535 students are between 30 and 39 years old (11.29%), 861,428 students are between 40 and 49 years old (5.38%), 463,375 students are 50 years old or older (2.89%).
