The total number of applicants increased by 839,684 (6.06%) compared to last year, from 13,846,895 applicants. The number of students enrolled in first year increased by 14,765, which is more than 0.88% last year.
The acceptance rate increased by 0.67% compared to last year, which means easier to get into colleges. The yield decreased by 1.23%.
Massachusetts has the lowest acceptance rate of 37.06% with 270,762 accepted students out of 730,638 applicants. California has the most number of applicants of 2,007,136 and it also has the most number of first-year enrolled students of 147,745.
