Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 50.17%. The percentage was 57.49% 10 years ago and UConn still has a high percentage of white students. 11.22% of enrolled students is Asian and 7.01% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 14.52% of the student body.

Great engineering school

UCONN has a very diverse Electrical & Computer Science curriculum. I was able to take advance digital hardware and software courses. Such as digital filters, digital control systems, and electrical chip design. These prepared me well for starting my aerospace career (1980) in microprocessor hardware and software design where I was able to start in digital circuit design, code all of firmware associated with those designs, and completing the system integration of said designs. I finished my career as a Chief Engineer for Raytheon corporation
