The average student population over the last 11 years is 3,151 where 3,177 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

77.94% of total students is undergraduate students and 22.06% students is graduate students. The number of undergraduate students has decreased by 1,266 and the graduate enrollment has decreased by 22 over past 10 years.

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 13.19% and the percentage of black students is 67.71% at University of Maryland Eastern Shore. 2.52% of enrolled students is Asian. Hispanic students comprise 3.21% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 13.35% to 13.19%. Asian enrollment grew from 1.50% to 2.52%. Black student enrollment decreased from 67.75% to 67.71%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 2.58% to 3.21%.
