426 Campus Safety and Securlty Related Incidents Occured at Wisconsin College Campuses

For the calendar year 2023, a total of 5,450 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at Wisconsin colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 658 criminal offenses, 338 arrests, 4,197 disciplinary actions, 229 VAWA, and 28 hate crimes at Wisconsin colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 4,957 incidents reported. By incident type, 426 criminal offenses, 201 arrests, 4,085 disciplinary actions, 219 VAWA, and 26 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 27 fires reporeted at Wisconsin colleges.
