1,057 Campus Safety and Securlty Related Incidents Occured at Indiana College Campuses

For the calendar year 2023, a total of 9,560 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at Indiana colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 1,184 criminal offenses, 1,469 arrests, 6,210 disciplinary actions, 665 VAWA, and 32 hate crimes at Indiana colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 8,917 incidents reported. By incident type, 1,057 criminal offenses, 1,110 arrests, 6,100 disciplinary actions, 625 VAWA, and 25 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 60 fires reporeted at Indiana colleges.
