Student Population Changes

The average student population over the last 11 years is 9,649 where 9,410 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

66.63% of total students is undergraduate students and 33.37% students is graduate students. The number of undergraduate students has increased by 127 and the graduate enrollment has decreased by 865 over past 10 years.

The female to male ratio is 1.04 to 1 and it means that there are similar numbers of female and male students enrolled in UST.

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 62.49%. The percentage was 77.23% 10 years ago and UST still has a high percentage of white students. 5.81% of enrolled students is Asian and 7.99% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 9.56% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 77.23% to 62.49%. Asian enrollment grew from 3.97% to 5.81%. Black student enrollment increased from 4.01% to 7.99%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 4.23% to 9.56%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.5890 which indicates that moderately diverse. This increased from 0.3978 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
