Student Population Changes

The average student population over the last 11 years is 53,580 where 56,311 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

64.95% of total students is undergraduate students and 35.05% students is graduate students. The number of undergraduate students has increased by 3,171 and the graduate enrollment has increased by 2,495 over past 10 years.

The female to male ratio is 1.26 to 1 and it means that there are slightly more female students enrolled in UF than male students.

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 47.45% and the percentage of black students is 5.25% at University of Florida. 10.27% of enrolled students is Asian. Hispanic students comprise 21.35% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 54.16% to 47.45%. Asian enrollment grew from 7.18% to 10.27%. Black student enrollment decreased from 6.09% to 5.25%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 16.96% to 21.35%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.7140 which indicates that quite diverse. This increased from 0.6685 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
