Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 62.13%. The percentage was 71.71% 10 years ago and Union still has a high percentage of white students. 7.36% of enrolled students is Asian and 4.31% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 10.90% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 71.71% to 62.13%. Asian enrollment grew from 6.13% to 7.36%. Black student enrollment increased from 4.19% to 4.31%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 6.65% to 10.90%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.5934 which indicates that moderately diverse. This increased from 0.4754 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
