Student Population Changes
The average student population over the last 11 years is 963 where 989 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.
Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 5 year-over-year increases and 4 decreases. It peaked at 1,210 students in 2024 and was lowest at 306 in 2019. Overall, enrollment rose from 814 to 989 students, a net gain of 175 (21.5%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes
The percentage of white students is 16.58% and the percentage of black students is 16.48% at Summit College. 5.16% of enrolled students is Asian. Hispanic students comprise 58.14% of the student body.
Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students increased from 15.11% to 16.58%. Asian enrollment declined from 7.49% to 5.16%. Black student enrollment increased from 12.65% to 16.48%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 45.58% to 58.14%.
The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.6038 which indicates that moderately diverse. This decreased from 0.7455 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has declined.
