The average student population over the last 11 years is 10,872 where 11,826 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 6 year-over-year increases and 3 decreases. It peaked at 11,826 students in 2025 and was lowest at 10,088 in 2022. Overall, enrollment rose from 10,096 to 11,826 students, a net gain of 1,730 (17.1%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 72.36%. The percentage was 83.39% 10 years ago and NWTC still has a high percentage of white students. 4.04% of enrolled students is Asian and 4.25% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 12.40% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 83.39% to 72.36%. Asian enrollment grew from 3.60% to 4.04%. Black student enrollment increased from 2.39% to 4.25%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 6.45% to 12.40%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.4564 which indicates that somewhat diverse. This increased from 0.2978 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
