Student Population Changes

The average student population over the last 11 years is 448 where 463 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 4 year-over-year increases and 5 decreases. It peaked at 493 students in 2021 and was lowest at 412 in 2019. Overall, enrollment rose from 428 to 463 students, a net gain of 35 (8.2%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 21.38% and the percentage of black students is 10.58% at New Mexico Military Institute. 5.62% of enrolled students is Asian. Hispanic students comprise 31.53% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 31.78% to 21.38%. Asian enrollment grew from 4.44% to 5.62%. Black student enrollment decreased from 18.69% to 10.58%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 20.79% to 31.53%.

New Mexico Military Institute does not offer online degree/certificate programs. All Students have enrolled in on-campus programs.
