The average student population over the last 11 years is 1,066 where 1,108 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

84.93% of total students is undergraduate students and 15.07% students is graduate students. The number of undergraduate students has decreased by 54 and the graduate enrollment has decreased by 81 over past 10 years.

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 60.56%. The percentage was 72.49% 10 years ago and LEC still has a high percentage of white students. 1.17% of enrolled students is Asian and 18.14% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 3.61% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 72.49% to 60.56%. Asian enrollment grew from 1.13% to 1.17%. Black student enrollment increased from 13.27% to 18.14%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 2.74% to 3.61%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.5983 which indicates that moderately diverse. This increased from 0.4549 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
