Student Population Changes

The average student population over the last 9 years is 388 where 218 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

Total enrollment fluctuated between 2018 and 2025, with 4 year-over-year increases and 3 decreases. It peaked at 709 students in 2021 and was lowest at 169 in 2024. Overall, enrollment dropped from 433 to 218 students, a net loss of 215 (49.7%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 5.96% and the percentage of black students is 70.64% at HCI College. Hispanic students comprise 17.43% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 36.95% to 5.96%. Black student enrollment increased from 45.96% to 70.64%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 12.93% to 17.43%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.4652 which indicates that somewhat diverse. This decreased from 0.6355 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has declined.
