The average student population over the last 11 years is 4,251 where 4,044 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 4 year-over-year increases and 5 decreases. It peaked at 4,769 students in 2016 and was lowest at 3,681 in 2021. Overall, enrollment dropped from 4,769 to 4,044 students, a net loss of 725 (15.2%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 55.96%. The percentage was 65.76% 10 years ago and WCCD still has a high percentage of white students. 1.06% of enrolled students is Asian and 29.35% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 7.67% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 65.76% to 55.96%. Asian enrollment grew from 0.71% to 1.06%. Black student enrollment increased from 28.83% to 29.35%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 2.47% to 7.67%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.5918 which indicates that moderately diverse. This increased from 0.4836 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
