Student Population Changes
The average student population over the last 11 years is 37 where 41 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.
Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 4 year-over-year increases and 5 decreases. It peaked at 48 students in 2022 and was lowest at 26 in 2020. Overall, enrollment rose from 35 to 41 students, a net gain of 6 (17.1%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes
The percentage of white students is 92.68%. The percentage was 77.14% 10 years ago and Gem City still has a high percentage of white students. Hispanic students comprise 2.44% of the student body.
Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students increased from 77.14% to 92.68%. Black student enrollment decreased from 14.29% to 4.88%. Hispanic student representation contracted from 2.86% to 2.44%.
