The average student population over the last 11 years is 341 where 315 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.
Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 4 year-over-year increases and 5 decreases. It peaked at 434 students in 2020 and was lowest at 232 in 2023. Overall, enrollment dropped from 412 to 315 students, a net loss of 97 (23.5%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes
The percentage of white students is 20.95% and the percentage of black students is 69.84% at Fortis College. 1.59% of enrolled students is Asian. Hispanic students comprise 3.17% of the student body.
Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 24.76% to 20.95%. Asian enrollment declined from 1.94% to 1.59%. Black student enrollment increased from 69.66% to 69.84%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 1.94% to 3.17%.
