The average student population over the last 11 years is 13,728 where 10,609 students are attending the school for the academic year 2024-2025.

Total enrollment fluctuated between 2016 and 2025, with 2 year-over-year increases and 7 decreases. It peaked at 16,205 students in 2016 and was lowest at 10,451 in 2024. Overall, enrollment dropped from 16,205 to 10,609 students, a net loss of 5,596 (34.5%).

Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity Changes

The percentage of white students is 58.14%. The percentage was 61.91% 10 years ago and CCAC still has a high percentage of white students. 5.13% of enrolled students is Asian and 18.32% is black students. Hispanic students comprise 4.90% of the student body.

Over the past 10 years, the racial composition has shifted. The percentage of white students decreased from 61.91% to 58.14%. Asian enrollment grew from 2.87% to 5.13%. Black student enrollment increased from 18.29% to 18.32%. Hispanic student representation expanded from 1.46% to 4.90%.

The overall racial diversity, measured by the Census Bureau Diversity Index, is 0.6211 which indicates that moderately diverse. This increased from 0.5821 a decade ago, suggesting that racial diversity has improved.
