Campus Safety and Security Matters at Washington Colleges

For the calendar year 2023, a total of 3,763 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at Washington colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 1,232 criminal offenses, 83 arrests, 2,043 disciplinary actions, 356 VAWA, and 49 hate crimes at Washington colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 3,373 incidents reported. By incident type, 959 criminal offenses, 69 arrests, 2,001 disciplinary actions, 301 VAWA, and 43 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 13 fires reporeted at Washington colleges.
