Campus Safety and Security Matters at Minnesota Colleges

For the calendar year 2023, a total of 3,415 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at Minnesota colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 731 criminal offenses, 209 arrests, 2,129 disciplinary actions, 309 VAWA, and 37 hate crimes at Minnesota colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 3,041 incidents reported. By incident type, 534 criminal offenses, 111 arrests, 2,092 disciplinary actions, 271 VAWA, and 33 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 14 fires reporeted at Minnesota colleges.
