For 2024-2025 admission, the average acceptance rate of New York colleges is 53.96%, 799,597 accepted out of 1,481,835 applicants.

For New York college admission, the total number of applicants increased by 89,212 (6.41%) compared to last year, from 1,392,623 applicants. The number of students enrolled in first year increased by 1,531, which is more than 1.28% last year.

New York colleges' acceptance rate increased by 1.80% compared to last year, which means easier to get into New York colleges. The yield decreased by 1.32%.

Among New York colleges, Columbia University in the City of New York has the lowest acceptance rate of 3.99% with 2,400 accepted students out of 60,115 applicants. New York University has the most number of applicants of 110,807 and New York University has the most number of first-year enrolled students of 5,666.
