Applying to HMC

For the academic year 2022-23, HMC's acceptance rate is 13.36% and the yield (also known as enrollment rate) is 39.97%. 2,931 men and 1,509 women applied to HMC and 271 men and 322 women students were accepted.

The median SAT score is 1,530 with 750 SAT EBRW and 780 SAT Math median scores. The 75^th percentile SAT score of EBRW (Evidence-Based Reading / Writing) is 770 and the 25^th percentile is 720. The SAT Math 75^th percentile score is 790 and 25^th percentile is 760 .

The median ACT composite score is 35 with 75^th percentile score of 36 and 25^th percentile score of 34 at HMC. The median ACT math score is 35 and the ACT English score is 35.

The SAT and ACT scores at Harvey Mudd College are competitive and high compared to similar colleges (SAT: 1,279, ACT: 28 - private (not-for-profit) baccalaureate college - arts & sciences).

It requires to submit High School Record (or Transcript), Completion of College Preparatory Program, Recommendations, English Proficiency Test, and Personal statement or essay to its applicants.
