For the calendar year 2023, a total of 1,444 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at West Virginia colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 149 criminal offenses, 206 arrests, 979 disciplinary actions, 107 VAWA, and 3 hate crimes at West Virginia colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 1,304 incidents reported. By incident type, 131 criminal offenses, 120 arrests, 948 disciplinary actions, 102 VAWA, and 3 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 5 fires reporeted at West Virginia colleges.
