339 Campus Safety and Securlty Related Incidents Occured at New Jersey College Campuses

For the calendar year 2023, a total of 2,604 incidents related to campus safety and securty occured at New Jersey colleges. It includes criminal offenses, arrests, diciplinary actions, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and hate crimes.

By subject, there were 494 criminal offenses, 143 arrests, 1,497 disciplinary actions, 440 VAWA, and 30 hate crimes at New Jersey colleges.

When limited to on-campus, there were 2,289 incidents reported. By incident type, 339 criminal offenses, 62 arrests, 1,473 disciplinary actions, 391 VAWA, and 24 hate crimes. In adddition, there were 71 fires reporeted at New Jersey colleges.
