For the academic year 2019-20, the acceptance rate is 76.75% and the yield is 24.62%. 9,473 men and 14,106 women applied to JMU and 6,752 men and 11,346 women students were accepted. SAT and ACT Score Distribution

For the academic year 2019-2020, 2,765 students (62% of enrolled) have submitted their SAT scores and 662 students (15%) have submitted their ACT scores for seeking degrees. For score submitters, SAT 75th percentile score of Evidence-Based Reading/Writing is 650 and the 25th percentile is 570. The SAT Math score is 640 (75th) and 550 (25th). The submitted ACT composite score is 28 (75th percentile) and 23 (25th percentile).
