Applying to MCAD

For the academic year 2022-23, MCAD's acceptance rate is 56.89% and the yield (also known as enrollment rate) is 42.11%. 157 men and 480 women applied to MCAD and 82 men and 298 women students were accepted.

In 2023, 7 students (4% of enrolled) have submitted their SAT scores and 22 students (14%) have submitted their ACT scores for seeking degrees at MCAD.

The median SAT score is 1,280 with 680 SAT EBRW and 600 SAT Math median scores. The 75^th percentile SAT score of EBRW (Evidence-Based Reading / Writing) is 730 and the 25^th percentile is 600. The SAT Math 75^th percentile score is 650 and 25^th percentile is 570 .

The median ACT composite score is 25 with 75^th percentile score of 27 and 25^th percentile score of 19 at MCAD. The median ACT math score is 18 and the ACT English score is 24.

The SAT and ACT scores at Minneapolis College of Art and Design are similar to the average score compared to similar colleges (SAT: 1,170, ACT: 24 - private (not-for-profit) school of art, music, and design).

It requires to submit High School GPA, High School Record (or Transcript), Recommendations, Formal Demonstration of Competencies, English Proficiency Test, and Personal statement or essay to its applicants.
