The criminal and safety related action rate per 1,000 students is 21.61. When limited to on-campus, the rate per 1,000 students is 15.08. The criminal offenses rate per 1,000 students is 7.64 at UI.

By violation type, 134 arrests, 235 criminal offenses, and 145 disciplinary actions are reported. In addition, 150 VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) and 1 hate crimes are reported at UI.

At University of Iowa, 235 criminal offenses are reported including rape, fondling, incest, statutory rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, and arson.

The crminal offenses rate per 1,000 students is 7.64 regardless location and category. Limited to on-campus, crminal offenses rate per 1,000 students is 5.23 at UI.

By crime category, Aggravated Assault was the most common with 69 cases, and Rape was the second most common with 56 cases. When restricted to campus, including residence halls, Rape was the most common with 51 incidents, while Fondling was the second most common with 34 incidents.
